Semi-autobiographical, the play in which reality and fiction are intertwined, comes together with videos and music on stage with stories created from the personal history of writer/director/actress Yesim Ozsoy.
While the stories of Ozsoy’s grandmother about an old mansion that was demolished in 1959, the past and her childhood are being narrated like a documentary, our 100-year history is told in a very special and subjective perspective. The play which premiered at the 22nd Istanbul Theatre Festival, was performed on Istanbul stages following it Berlin and Zurich showings. Music and a video that plays throughout accompanies the storytelling of the play.
The play’s music was produced by music designer, producer, composer and musician Kivanc Sarikus, the videos by Best First Movie Award winner at the Golden Orange Film Festival with her documentary Me and Nuri Bala, film director and photograph artist Melisa Onel, light design by award winning designer Ayse Sedef Ayter who studied theatre technique at Lambda University, choreography by choreographer, educator and dancer Tugçe Tuna who is the Mimar Sinan Contemporary Dance Department President, who has carried out international projects. Award winning writer and dramaturg Ferdi Cetin whose story book was published by Yapı Kredi Publications, helps with the text and dramaturgy.
